Lifetime Sheds

Lifetime Products has created a new line of outdoor plastic sheds that surpasses all the other sheds on the market! Through extensive research, Lifetime discovered that all the outdoor sheds on the market have a few great features, but also significant weaknesses. We’ve eliminated the weaknesses and combined the best features into one complete product—the Lifetime Plastic Shed.

At Lifetime, we stand behind the belief that plastic sheds do not need to be flimsy! We combine the strength of steel and durability of polyethylene to create our truly unique sheds. Lifetime plastic sheds use integrated steel supports to provide ultimate durability. We use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic to make our outdoor sheds stronger, lighter, and more durable than wood. These materials are stain resistant, UV protected and powder-coated to prevent rusting, cracking, and discoloration.

What Makes a Lifetime Shed Better?

Construction

The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic we use in our Lifetime Sheds has some big advantages over wood, metal, or vinyl sheds.

  • HDPE plastic is maintenance free, strong and durable. It is generally the best value for your money.
  • Wood requires significant maintenance, expensive , susceptible to termites and rotting
  • Metal is less expensive, costly repairs, less durable, susceptible to rusting and denting, short-term storage solution
  • Vinyl is maintenance free, more affordable than wood and more durable than metal, but lacks the strength of HDPE plastic

Appearance

With Lifetime plastic sheds, you don’t have to give up style to be practical. Our plastic sheds are designed to be attractive as well as functional. We incorporate resilient metal and molded polyethylene into wood-grain textured wall panels and simulated shingles that come in attractive natural colors with contrasting shutters, doors, and trim. Best of all, our plastic sheds will always look attractive. No painting required, and so easy to clean—just spray it down with a hose!

Usability

Lifetime plastic sheds feature shatter-proof windows and skylights to provide ample amounts of natural light as well as a battery-powered light. Screened vents provide ventilation while keeping pests and rodents out. The high-pitched roof allows for plenty of headroom, and wide doorway allows easy access when parking a riding lawnmower or storing large patio furniture.

Security

Sheds by Lifetime use steel-reinforced doors with full-length steel-pin hinges and double deadbolts on the interior as well as a padlock loop on the exterior. The windows are shatter-proof, high-impact plastic. Once you lock your Lifetime shed, you can feel confident that you are protecting your valuable stored items.

Customization

Lifetime’s plastic sheds come with a range of accessories that can be customized to fit your needs. Our sheds are available in a variety of sizes that make them perfect for whatever you need to store. If you can't find the size of shed you need, you can use our shed expansion kits to customize the shed to the exact size that you desire. Additional steel-reinforced shelves, corner shelves and peg strips also maximize your storage space. Battery-powered lighting can be added in any of the predrilled holes, without requiring wiring or outlets.

Assembly

To assemble a Lifetime plastic shed, you’ll need an assistant, a few hours, and a few basic tools (we strongly recommend you use a low-powered power screwdriver or a drill with an adjustable clutch to speed up the assembly process!). The assembly process proceeds as follows in this general outline:

  • First, install the floor of the shed on a level surface (we highly recommend a concrete pad).
  • Then, snap in the shed walls and insert the windows, screwing everything down as you go.
  • Next Install door (or doors).
  • Followed by the roof trusses, roof panels and skylights.
  • And last, but not least, install shelving units and peg strips.

All parts are securely screwed together every step of the way to form a sturdy, stable, weather-proof construction. All necessary hardware is included in the shed kit along with a step-by-step, illustrated instruction booklet.

*If you would prefer to have a professional assemble your shed, we offer that service as well.

Which Lifetime Shed is Right for Me?

Before you build:

  • Consult your city ordinances and building codes to see if you need a building permit before constructing your shed.
  • Your shed must be built on a level surface or it will not assemble properly. We recommend a cement patio, compacted road base, or creating a pad with compacted sand or gravel.

At Lifetime, we are certain that we have the perfect outdoor plastic shed to meet your needs whether you have the option of a large corner in your backyard or just want to utilize a small space in your driveway. In addition to the amount of space you have available, consider how you will be using your outdoor shed

For general storage, our plastic sheds come in a variety of sizes. We recommend evaluating your current spatial needs and increasing it by 25% to accommodate future storage needs.

For oversized items that need to be stored such as recreational vehicles and patio furniture, our larger outdoor sheds are ideal to accommodate these items and still have room for your smaller storage items. Take a look at these:
Our 11x13.5 shed
Our 11x11 shed
And if you still need more space, we offer various shelving units and extension kits for most of our sheds.

For tools and garden equipment, we offer:
Our smaller 8x5 shed
Our 8x2.5 shed
And the 11x3.5 shed which can be efficiently organized with shelving and peg strips.
